Pori Moni debuted in film with a bang early this year with “Bhalobasha Shimaheen”. Ever since then, her popularity among the fans has been increasing at an exponential rate. The star of recent hits such as “Rana Plaza” and “Mohua Shundori”, she already has close to 10 film credits under her belt and has shown no signs of slowing down. Now she is to appear on yet another “unique film”, standing out of the slew of Dhallywood's ordinary, with the help of the director of the hit film “Monpura”, Giasuddin Selim. The model turned actress expressed unbridled joy and said that it is a dream come true for her.
The director returns with his new production seven years after “Monpura” and has confirmed that Pori Moni is to appear in his next venture and that “only the formalities of signing the contract remain.” There were rumours circling in the biz that he won't be making a return following the massive success of “Monpura” back in 2009, but this time he has confirmed his return, starring Pori Moni, through “Shwapnojal”.
Previously, he said so himself that he was unable to find a suitable actress for the venture but now that he finally has, production is scheduled to start on January 15th at various locations in Chandpur and Kolkata. Newcomer Yash Rohan has been casted to star opposite Pori Moni. The cast also includes Fazlur Rahman Babu, Wahida Mallik Jolly, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, Iresh Zaker and Prosun Azad. Produced by Bengal Creations, Arnob will lead the music direction for the venture.
