Arijit Singh does playback for Dhallywood film

Indian singing sentation Arijit Singh has lent his voice for Bangladeshi upcoming film Dhaka Attack.
Although this Bollywood hit-machine has sung a number of songs in Bangla for Tollywood films, this is the first time Arijit is going to sing for a Bangladeshi project.
Arijit, the musical heartthrob has recorded a track of this film titled ‘Chupchap’, written mainly by Anindya Chattopadhay. Besides them Arindam Chatterjee and Indraadip D Das Gupta has also contributed to this song. Anindya- Arindam-Indraadip, this West Bengal trio is famous for their film project ‘Shudhu Tomari Jonyo’.
Anindya Chatterjee is a popular Bengali singer, lyricist, composer, and actor based in Kolkata. He is the lead vocalist and one of the founders of the legendary Bengali band Chandrabindoo. Arindam Chatterjee is an Indian singer and Music Director. He debuted in Raj Chakroborty’s Bojhena shey Bojhena. He is one of the leading music directors of Tollywood. And Indradeep Dasgupta is an Indian film music composer who is vastly famous for his songs in popular Tollywood films.
Incidentally, Indraadip and Arindam, co-composers of ‘Shudhu Tomari Jonyo’, are venturing Bangladeshi cinema around the same into time. Arindam says talks have been on for a while now. “The offer came from Bangladeshi director Dipankar Dipon. He narrated the story of his psychological thriller that got me thinking. Also, he loved my composition Parbona Ami Chharte Toke from film Borbaad,” he said.
The film ‘Dhaka Attack’ is presented by the Dhaka Police and stars Arifin Shuvoo and Mahiya Mahi. ‘Dhaka Attack’ will show the teamwork, social values, sacrifices, familial conflicts and humane appeal of the lives of police.
Arindam, who composed two songs for the film, is all praise for the artistes who made the project possible.
“Anindyada wrote a romantic song, which is done beautifully by Arijit. Prosen has written another peppy song; we are yet to finalize who will sing it,” said Arindam.
Anindya too is excited about his Bangladesh debut as a lyricist. “When Arindam asked me to write a romantic song, I had no clue about the project. Much later did I come to know that it’s for a film. Arindam and Prosen are collaborators and I’m happy to have pitched in. Also, Arijit is one of my favorite singers and I’m really happy to have written for him. Chupchap, the song, has turned out pretty well,” he said.
